    Default Golden threads quilting paper

Can anyone tell me how well this tears away after quilting? I have been using artist tracing paper which works well and I can pick it up when Michaels has a coupon, but the sheet sizes are limited. Thanks.

It works very well unless the quilting design is very dense, then it can be very tedious to tear away and tweezers are needed. I find it to be crisper than artist tracing paper. I use for outline work then tear it away and go back and do detail. For example in the below pictured gecko, I used golden threads for the first outline then tore away the paper then went back and did the multiple over stitching and inside designs. Same for the koi fish, I used it to outline then tore away and did the scales and fin bones freehand

Love the gecko and the koi. I had not thought about using it just on the initial outline - great tip!

I really like Golden Threads and use is fairly often. I have not had a terrible time removing it.

    Cheers, K

I love it, but I have not used it on densely quilted designs.

I like using GTs paper for quilting. It tears quite easily and you can see through it too so you can get your motif in the right place. This is a product that is well worth the investment. I haven't found anything better.

EDIT: Feline Fanatic, your quilting is wonderful.

Wow, that is some gorgeous quilting! I doubt I could do that well if I traced the whole design, much less just the outline. Very inspiring, I definitely need more practice!

I have some of this paper but haven't used it yet. I'm still trying to master the meander, LOL.

Maybe someday I'll be able to quilt like that...... in my dreamland, far, far away.
