I didn't cover my clothesline.. just used plain cording, the fussy cut my fabric... secured with some fabric glue and then with the fabric in place, just quilted in concentric circles round and round... then added binding... hope this helps. there are lots of youtube videos showing making baskets ,trivets, and coasters... some you wrap the cording first. Don't buy expensive cording... Dollar store type is great.... some I used was nylon, not cotton... PM me if you have questions. thanks for looking.
