    Beautiful. I bought a 1908 last week. If she could talk the stories she could tell. Two world wars. Oh my I have a addiction for these sewing machines. And fabric. Enjoy

    I have one like that but the decals or maybe painted roses on mine is not nearly in that good condition. Gorgeous machine.

    I have a Daisy that is dated in 1886. It is a fiddle base treadle coffin top. It is also a round bobbin, I didn't know they made round bobbins that early. The serial number is on the back side of the pillar and is upside down looking from the back. You have to look over the machine to read it. I haven't cleaned it up yet. I will post pictures when I start working on it. Serial number is 7 391 957.

    Fiddlebase and round bobbin I would guess Singer Improved Family (early 15)

    What Steve said, they are really rare (and cool, IMO): It's a 15-1 and have a different bobbin mechanism (and bobbins) to the later 15s. The modern domestic needle is the same, though, as 15x1 needles were designed for that exact model.
