Apparently she has retired and is no longer teaching or vending at shows.

I saw the video a few years ago and got one but I find it almost impossible to get it to work. Maybe I'll give it another try.

For those (like me) who are wondering what Aunt Becky's Finger Protector is, here is a video showing how it is used:

I never use it and neither do my friends. I also bought the thimble with the edge and like it but unfortunately aunt Becky recommended a size too large.

I have spoken to Jean several times in the last week. Yes she and her husband are retired but they still have their website going. She is very helpful and will glad talk with anyone that have questions about her technique.

I have never tried the "Aunt Becky" and really don't think it is needed. I've been hand quilting for about 38 years, and have never found the need. Not to say it isn't a valuable tool, as every quilter has different needs.

I saw the video a couple of years ago and was intrigued. Now, I guess it is time to get going, make the purchase and give it a try.

I bought one several years ago and the demonstration was amazing. I thought "I can do that!" Being quite a persistent person (maybe even a little stubborn) I was sure I could get onto the 'trick' with practice. No matter how much I tried I could never do it. I still may get it out and try again. And yes, I have watched the video several times.

I'm in the same boat as GemState. Ordered it a while ago but just cannot get the hang of using it. I've practiced many times and watched the video plenty, too! The motion of using it just doesn't seem to come easy to me.
