Looks like you have a lot of work to do there, Carrie, but glad no one was hurt. Things can be replaced; people cannot be replaced. In time, things will return to normal...and you will have more firewood for next winter. Hope it did little damage to your van.

Janie, your little dog is so cute and loving....yes, she is far more helpful over medicine the doctors gave you...she interacts with you and loves you.

Oh gosh Carrie, that is awful. So sorry for your DMIL. Glad she was close enough for you to rush to her side for the help she needs!

Carrie, have been wondering about you. QNS told me that you had posted pictures. I told my husband that as hard as it rained when we were there, the bridge could disappear and we wouldn't know until we were in the water. What a deluge and it sounds like Sunday was far worse with 6". How long did it take to get that much. The weather has been crazy. We watched a v-shaped cloud out our window while tornado warnings were being given. Then fortunately it was just gone and didn't touch down as far as we heard. A couple days before that there had been one touch down about 5 miles from here and did quite a bit of damage but it wasn't on the ground for long. Stay healthy and well everyone. Sure looks like your cleanup will take a bit of time.

oksewglad - great greenhouse. I used to have a cold frame and it was wonderful to get a headstart on things like tomatoes.
JanieW - Maggie is adorable. I agree about a 4 footed companion lifting the spirits. There is something about unconditional love. And, of course, puppy antics.
carriem - so sorry about the damage but glad everyone is OK. And good that you were close enough to assist. I hope no other storm comes your way.

Anael ... you are tooooo funny!!!!!!!!! Do you not remember when I posted my May report and June goals ... well past the middle of the month! I need to do my pics and count things up ... and will do it at the latest on the weekend. The last week has been very quilty productive, thanks to the heat wave!

JanieW ... so good to see you ... Maggie is adorable!!! Have you made her, her first quilt yet?

CarrieM ... So sorry to hear of the storm damage though thankful for all of you that it is not worse. LIving on the edge of a bush, with trees all around my home, I dread that it might happen to me too.

........ and soon you will have the next six to do, too, MiraB!
Your tri-colour combo is going to make for a great bunch of blocks!

Great colours Mirabelle and lovely blocks. For your stash to go down you should have made them 18"
