thanks and enjoy your room!
My pressing board table is not as cushy as it looks in the pictures. It is fairly hard. I used 2 layers of warm and natural on top of plywood, so it presses well and I have had no trouble cutting on my mat with it at all. I am hoping to get a new mat though, as my large mat ( not pictured ) got badly warped in the move, as did the smaller one, though not as much. I miss my big mat !

You have a beautiful sewing space. When I was young I could have made it up the stairs but at 67 my knees couldn't do it any more.

Thank you for sharing. I see you have the Quilting Board up on your computer (heeee). I know how you feel about packing up your sewing items and fabric (had to do it last year in AZ and now going to have to do it in OR), DH has NO idea about how much stuff I have (he just found out I have 5 sewing machines). But moving into a new space opens you up (as you have found SlightlyOffQuilter), to so many new things (finding things you have put a way and forgotten about, finding fabric that you forgotten, patterns that you have not used yet). It's almost like finding a NEW QUILT SHOP!!! Have fun and enjoy.
