What a great quilt to send your son off with. My prayers for his safety and I so much appreciate his service for our country.

It was so wonderful of him to pass his first quilt on to another. Looks like caring and generosity bloom in your family. I also want to thank him, his family including you, and all the others that came before him and will come after too who are so willing to do the difficult task put to them. They are all the real heroes in this country of ours.

Your quilt is beautiful. Thoughts and prayer are in order for your entire family. My son is Navy and will be going to Bahrain in Jan. I understand wholeheartedly the tears. May God bless and keep all safe.

When I think of Afghanistan, I think that all of the surroundings are brown and tan . This quilt will bring a spot of color to am otherwise dreary place. I know that every time he uses it he will think of you. You did a lovely job on it. Best wishes to him and the family.

My heart is in my throat-- such a beautiful quilt. I wish your son well, and also think of the soldier he shared your last one with. One Mama to another, peace be with you.
