Thank you. The words "finished sizes" confused me a bit. I am hoping to embroider a block with wording.
I will be pm'ing you just as soon as I get them done.
Thank you, Toni Ann

Hi, I have not joined in on any of your swaps from this site as I am fairly new. I am VERY interested in joining in this one as I love the quilts and blocks that have been shown. I do have a question concerning the sizes you mentioned in the first post. Should the blocks we send in be ex: 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 or is the finished size 6x6?? So the blocks we send in should be 7x7 as to have a finished block of 6 1/2 x 6 1/2??
Sorry, I just wanted to understand this correctly as I am starting on my sample block.
Thank you, Toni Ann

Hi
The size you send are the sizes given in the rules. They have the 1/2" seam allowance included in the block size. I understand how it can be confusing to a beginning swapper. But, don't worry about the other wording for now. OK?

We would enjoy having another swapper in the group. Make sure the background is either a dark or bright fabric for your embroidered blocks. That is all.

I have seen people use the return address stickies or tiny safety pinned on paper ones too. I personally like to just sew on a printed label from works in my computer in the seam margin.

Default with or without?

Hi again: thank you for the welcome! I will definitely being playing along!
I have made a sample block and was wondering which all of you would rather since I cannot make up my mind.
With corners or without?? (they are just pinned for now, so don't worry about the direction or size, I was just trying to get an idea)

Either one are great to me. But, my eye did gravitate to the first one. Love those blocks. Nice job.

Welcome ladysaint. Fabulous block either way but I found the first one seemed to pop more for me.
