Another vote for #2. It's a beautiful quilt.

I like the second one because it isn't as busies. The first one draws your eye away from the main part of the quilt.
Very pretty quilt!!! Love the pattern.

Very pretty and I vote for # 2, but either would be nice.

Yes, the quilt pattern is Hanging Gardens by Cozy Quilt Designs, Design by Georgette Dell'Orco. Description on front of the pattern says,"A Strip Club Pattern for 2-1/2 Strips." My pattern is in my "to do" box. I think it's a beautiful pattern!

Would love to see your quilt picture when it's done.

I have to be honest, I don't like either one. They both are so much larger than your original block size in the quilt. I love the first photo that you posted as the quilt is. Can you make the border in the second picture a little smaller?? Proportionally, it is so much larger then you squares even if they are set on point.

I do agree with this - what if you matched the size and shape of the cream colored sashings in the quilt? Maybe even add the dark cornerstones?

Of the two choices, I do prefer #2 - but it does seem clunky compared to the main body of the quilt.

Thanks for the input and suggestions. I have to reconsider my approach. I might just keep it as is.
