Default My Daughter's Golden Album Quilt in Mauve/Blues

When Jinny Beyer first announced her Golden Album pattern book, my daughter & I were blown away by it's beauty. My daughter asked if I'd make it for her in mauves & blues. Being a queen sized quilt, it's taken me a while to finish, but I did some new to me FMQ features that came out better than I'd dared to hope & I'm real proud of this quilt. It's not perfect, but since I've only been quilting since July of 2010, I think I have come quite a way! I had to buy more binding fabric this morning & the lady at the quilt shop asked if they'd quilted it. While I was telling her I did it all myself, she'd flipped the corner and said, "Wow, even the back looks great!". I can barely wait to see the look on my daughter's face as we deliver it next week!! :-)

I think your daughter is going to be overwhelmed with love. It's beautiful. I love the colors, I love both reds & pinks but I've never thought about putting them together. You did a wonderful job!

Absolutely STUNNING..... a true work of art ... and had to have been done as a labor of love. I predict tears when you give it to your daughter.

What a beauty! I love the very tiny blue flange border and sashing - really well done. You did great work on the entire quilt!
