Bibliostone, that is just beautiful! Where did you get the pattern for the large outer stars?

Bib-your quilt is soooo pretty! I love your ribbon border, and what a clever solution to the corners! I will remember that trick!
Quilter 65-your quilt is just beautiful-I love everything about it. Your new quilt is going to be wonderful as well! The blue seems to make your center pop....
Elisabrat and Jaba-can't wait to see what you come up with for our next project! Thank you so much for the time and effort you spent on this quilt along!

Eye surgery is this week....finally! Yay! Praying for good results so we don't have to do a corneal transplant...won't know for several weeks, but I am hopeful! Keep stitching and sharing!

Mimi, the stars are from the book "Stars by Magic" by Nancy Johnson-Srebro. She gives directions to make the stars in several sizes. This one had 10 different sizes from 6 inches up to 18 inches. I used the 14 inch size, so the half stars are 7 by 14 inches . They are done using squares and rectangles, with no Y seams. You do, however, waste a lot of fabric making them, but I like them enough to do it anyway.

Jaba-Quilts of Valor.....I believe any pattern is acceptable, just in shades of red, white and blue....so even another medallion quilt along would work, if we used patriotic colors and made the minimum required size ( I think 60x80'ish) It would be fun to try some new techniques, and then donate the finished product....just a thought! .

That would be great if everyone agrees. Quilting together and doing a "good deed" at the same time. Any opinions out there??

QOV quilts have some very specific requirements, so before you start, be sure you know what they are.
