Doesn't that just do your heart good, when you know that you have started a new seamstress on her way. Congratulations to both you and her.

That is fantastic! To get ribbons at 12 will make her want to sew many more things. I wish I could see a picture of her holding it.

Our quilt guild meets at 4-H every week for sit and sew. We also have our 4 camps there.

It is great for young people and I for one am very proud of her and thank you for helping her !

Congratulations to you both

Congratulations to your student for her beautiful bag. And congratulations to you for teaching her. One of the most rewarding moments of a teacher is when the student just takes off and does such a good job. One lady I taught to crochet is now teaching crochet and that makes me sooooo happy.

She deserves all the Congratulations she is receiving, and so do you for helping her. She has a great future ahead of her. I began sewing my own clothes in 4th grade, and have sewing the most of mine ever since. I will be 80 in December, so I'd say it is a lifetime of sewing. My grandmother taught me to sew in 3rd grade when I was staying with her and grandpa, while my dad was overseas in the Army (1942) and my mother was taking some college classes for an occupation.

That's wonderful! She did a terrific job of it. I would love to learn how to do that.
