I did not find any of these requirements out of the norm for quilts that I intend to gift....the QOV site also has long arm quilters available who donate their time to quilt your top-they send it back to you to do the binding. I hope to participate in the next sew along here, and I will just use the colors that are required by QOV. I will double check to make sure any pattern is acceptable, and not just those listed on their website.

Apparently, any colors are ok, but "patriotic" colors seem to be preferred by the recipients!

Sorry if this is overload....I will be quiet now! Haha.

At long last its complete. I actually made another round but belatedly realized it would be close to 120 X 120, think I will probably incorporate it into the back of the quilt. Sorry about the quality of the photo, its windy here today.

WOW Emma that turned at beautiful! Hope you are happy with it! As far as the QOV, I really don't see anything out of the norm than what we do already from making a quilt.

Jabba: Yes I am happy with the quilt, its been a fun project. The last round was using your tutorial on the flying geese. The purple turned inward and making a square, the flowered making the zigzag and the green making the outside. Design wise I would have been happier with the additional round because it tied the green in and made some interesting geometric shapes but as I said it would be a huge quilt.

Jabba: Your generosity overwhelms me! Actually I just sent off an e-mail to my daughter, she has a king, to ask if she would like another quilt. That's how much I would like to see this design "complete". If I do add the next round I will post the picture.
