UK quilters - where do you buy fabric?
#31
Just wanted to let you know that I ordered of Hancocks on Tuesday - I had a 20% coupon. you get the special $10 international shipping when you order for $50 max, orders $50 and up shipping is $20.
I will keep you updated on how long it takes till I get the order and what customs say.

I found it used to be cheaper to buy from America, but then their postal service started to be stricter on the actual contents of the packages.
I just shop in the UK now, though Ebay's often worth a look.
I like Jackie's Fabrics (she does some really good deals on useable sized samples pieces of the new Makower ranges as they come out ) I think she is only selling on the ebay store now though (paypal was easier than using googlepay or something like that)

Sewing the Seeds is another favourite seller,

The lady who runs this company is Beke and she's German (was very pleased at the World Cup ! )
Pelenna patchworks I buy from quite often too.

Laughing Hedgehog is another goodie

I can honestly say that all of these companies are ones I have bought from in the last six months, and have been very pleased with both my purchases, their service, and delivery times.
I buy linen thread from Germany, and it comes across with no problems (though the seller does prefer being paid in cash, which entails a trip to the Post Office to get Euros, and he sends change in the package; I'm building up a nice collection of German Euro coins ) so fabric should go to you just as easily.
Best of luck with it.
