Default Broke down n bought a real FW for $10

thing is the old guy ( younger than me) dropped it as he carried it to my car . broke the base all to ....... whelp the day before he gave me a guessing 1880's new home, I paid him 10$ for the only national treadle stand I have even seen. now I have seen branded stands, but never with the name national.

This is uncleaned. and the broken base. It did major damage inside, mainly breaking the hinge supports. the minor was breaking all the corner seams.

    It's all repaired now, haven't taken any photo's . it's a friction wheel drive = Pos
Didn't really want any of this stuff. if I didn't take it. It would now be on a boat to china

    what'd ya think a real $10 FW.

When I saw the "FW" I thought you meant a Featherweight. I think it's a very cool machine, the decals look great.

Hey, it still happens once in a while. Once in a great while.

I would have cheerfully given $10 for that, broken base and all. The breaks are fresh. I'm betting it can be glued back together and the repairs would be nearly invisible. Just be careful not to lose any little splinters that may have broken off.

I am chuckling to myself. Been there before. "pos" ha! Clean chrome though and nice decals. You might just like it once you get to working it up.

I love FW machines. I don't have this one, though. Beautiful decals! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
