I think your fabrics will be just fine. Just separate them in your quilt. Go for it.

What about some gold as in the ball of the flag pole. Or some white with blue or red in them. Love your colors

Here's a quilt I made using different tones of light colored backgrounds. It was for a wounded soldier at Fort Hood Army base in Killeen,TX.

I attended a lecture on tips on quilts and one tip was to check for color value. If you have a copier at home on your printer, cut small strips of fabric and copy them on one page in black/grey to get the value and see how they work. What you may think is a medium is actually a dark. Then you can arrange the values so they are not all in one area.

I like your "lights", but adding some white on white or beige on beige fabrics would work well with this quilt.

Since you have some gold/yellow in some of your dark fabrics, you could even include some pale yellow on white or beige in your lights. You have so much room to play, and your quilt is going to be lovely!!!
