trish I am really excited about your trip around the world. Please send pictures. I love that quilt but haven't tried making it. I am sure I would have enough to make one!

Anoka Quilter...I'm waiting patiently for the few who are running late with their mailing. Only 5 to go.

Everyone my friends are amazed to see all the wonderful candies. I will be starting my Trip Around the World soon.

Sew sorry Ladies that I've not been on this thread for awhile, been sort of down in the dumps lately. I've received many birthday envelopes and have not opened them yet, for I want to wait for my Birthday Week. We were asked to tell a little about us, so here it goes. tell us about your family I have been married for 34 years with two wonderful daughters and 2 beautiful grandsons. Grew up with 4 brothers & 1 sister. All which live away from me. Lost my mom in 98, but Dad is still kicking and doing fine for a 86yr old. if you work and where : retired 7 years ago from ATT, and it couldn't have come a day sooner.
why you started quilting I always loved doing things with my hands, it kept be busy. Mostly I loved being outside as a child. But my wonderful Aunt was our Martha Stewart. She never had any children of her own, so all her niece's were "adopted." I would go over and we would do many things together. So when I retired and as my body wore down, I really started up quilting and am loving every minuet of it.
projects you are currently working on :I'm in the middle of 3 projects. I just finished my Charlie brown quilt for my Grandson this morn. I have a baby quilt on the floor which I'm gluing. I have 2 more that need to be sandwiched and quilted for xmas. I have one on my quilt frame which I've been working on for 6 years hand quilting.
and what you are most proud of. (quilting and life wise My two beautiful daughters and my two wonderful grandsons. I'm proud that I've learned it's okay to be me sometimes. As for as quilts, my avatar, which was hand stiched and hand quilted in 9 months.
and anything else you want us to know.. Well lets see, I love animals, gardening, cooking, making cookies , being outside. I love to sit on my porch with a cold beer and a cigarette ( yea I know) and sometimes I just love being alone. No one else, just me.

Now, next week after I sit and drool, while opening my gifts. I'll make a list of givers. Have a great weekend. Gannyrosie ( Mary )
