I followed along except for the last border. Love how it came out. Stopped here bc I want to use it as a wall hanging.

Just wanted to share the finished top. I really think the last border pulls the green to the edges of the quilt and ties it in with the rest.

Beautiful, Emma!! You're right. That green on the outside does pull that inside green out. Perfect! How big did it end up?

Emma, wow! Will you quilt it yourself or send it out? Does it have a future home or will you keep it? Very, very lovely!

It ended up being 118 X 118, bigger than I normally make but without that last border it just didn't look finished. My daughter is the only one that has a king sized bed so she will get it. Jabba offered to take it off my hands but Paige (DD) decided she needed both a summer and winter quilt. Yes, it will be quilted on my Brother 1900, which has a 9" harp, thinking that those borders will make it a lot of fun to quilt. Thank you all for your kind words and Jabba and Brat thank you both for your hard work. Jabba, did I hear you mention a possible future quilt along? Hint, hint!

Emma--you are right that the last border finishes off the quilt perfectly..tying all the colors together. Great job!

I know I have probably asked this before. But I have not been working on this for quite awhile. I am ready to do my next border. I want to do the chain shown in post 1175. My quilt is currently 42X42. Will this work if I make my blocks 6.5X6.5? I need help in how to figure all this out. This is my first medallion. Thanks everyone for your help.
