Just is received an E-Mail from my Daughter.....She wants me to tell you that she only drafted the pattern for the border because she could not find one...but she has seen quilts with this border, it is not original .... hope that suffices .... She is on the coast but guessing she has her I-Pod thingy... really should show you the picture of a mess of seaweed and driftwood she also sent. There now....find some sea glass....happy beach combing.

Thanks Judy. I will wait before making any decision.

Cindy, I see you have the same condition as I do, I just cant waste fabric. Ronda has some nice projects for the 2" HST. I have been incorporating them into mug rugs. Waist not want not. Finally found my missing fabric will post a photo latter after its out of the wash. Yes I'm one of those sewers, just a hold over from my clothes sewing days.

Blocks are looking great. I'm so mad 'cause I really want to work on mine but am too busy cleaning house and getting ready for a two week trip. I'll catch up though when I return and in the meantime will be hanging out in the observation car.

JUDY................HELP!! I just finished my first block & it turned out to be 8 & 3/4" square. Is this the right size? For some reason I thought all along that is was going to be an 8" square. I hope I am wrong & it's the bigger of the sizes!! But if not, I can fix it, so I won't sew anymore blocks together until I hear from you okay? Thank you again.

No didn't change my D and E around, That pic was how I orginally had it and was just comparing fabric. Judy wrote and asked me if I could change the print to E so I did. Just haven't taken a new pic. I did the same thing with the little 2", you're ahead of me though...haven't gotten mine trimmed and squared yet. I used the cut off triangles from the flying geese, chain stitched them, moved the needle position over and ran them through the machine again. Then cut between the sewn lines. Figured I might want to make another border and use them or put them on the back or they're a great start on a wall hanging.
My fabric does look like a light blue but it is really a light gray or blue gray I guess. Love the turquoise, my other favorite color besides purples.
Have to show you all what I did last weekend. About a year ago I bought this panel because I loved the little prints in it but had no idea what I was going to do. This is my monochromatic quilt, 1st one I've ever done, but sure love it. Didn't have a pattern and went round by round with what I thought would look nice with children playing on a playground, rocks, brick schoolhouse, etc. I love the way it turned out
