Default Public Library and Overdrive - great!

I don't know if anyone knows of this great service. I belong to Carnegie Library and when you open an account online you can request books and also download books to read or listen to. They also have movies/cds you can download and watch on your computer or android device. You have to download a Microsoft app named Overdrive to watch the movies/cds. Today I got all involved with searching books and came across a cd to download called "Judith Krentz teaches How to Make a Lone Star Quilt". I downloaded it and watched it and it's an amazing tutorial. She has all kinds of tips and tricks in this tutorial. Plus it's FREE! You can keep it on your Overdrive app for 7 days to watch. It's amazing! I'm sure libraries all over have this. I've taken Judith Krentz's Craftsy classes and just love her style of teaching.

Hugs!
Debbie

I have the app for books on my tablet. Great vehicle. Mynonly issue is I just don't get much reading time in any more so the books disappear before I'm done and you can't renew them. I'm still better of with printed form.

Thanks for the info. I saw Overdrive on my library's website but didn't have time to check it out.

we have Overdrive AND OneClick Digital, and (new) Hoopla.
PLUS there is also Zinio for emagazines.

I use the Overdrive and OneClick often when I want/need an
audiobook and it isn't offered in cd format.

I love Overdrive and use it for audio books; listen while I sew.
