Grace Majestic quilt frame
#2
i got the Majestic. i previously had a Hinterberg stretch. to compare, the Majestic is sturdier and smoother. the carriage slides more smoothly. the customer service for the Hinterberg was better. Grace died and the family took over her company... things don't run as well... i was missing some screws/bolts, and it took several days before they even put them in the mail. what i did prefer about the Hinty is that it can be set up at any custom length [i have limited space] whereas the Majestic is 5', 10', 12' or 7' [if you get the newish 2' extension]

I have the Grace frame that will only do up to lap or baby quilt size. I've only used it a few times but it was smoothe. I'm getting ready to put it up for sale only because I'm trying to downsize and I don't use it. I love the fact that its made from metal and is sturdier than the wooden frames. My experience was good with the company. I bought it from a LQS and they kept saying they couldn't find the documetation on it. Finally I called the company, they asked me the name of the LQS and within days the store sent me what I needed. When a store represents a company they expect them to also give good customer service. This was about 4 yrs ago.

I love my Grace frame, I am now looking to add the stylus attachment. It has the laser but I think the stylus may be a bit easier to guide. I have a Janome 1600P I use with the frame, and as long as I remember to put the presser foot down, it works great!
