Oh my gosh, Judy -- thanks so much for sharing that site --- that is amazing work!! Do you think she has actually sewn all those quilts herself??

Whims, is a great source, she has kits of all the fabrics needed, all you have to get is the 2" grid backing. There are seasonal and senic wallhangings, block of the month of different flowers etc. I love the iris wallhanging..

You may also consider using the gridded fusible product to create your watercolour ... like this product:

I've used this for a fractured floral quilt (as in my avatar) and it would be perfect for watercolour projects. When I got my product, I was able to get a few yards from a bolt.

I have found you tube to be very resourceful! Just search art quilts etc.

Now I'm thinking I need a definition of watercolor quilts too. I had thought they were pictures made from tiny squares similar to paint by number designs, but now I'm realize that I may not know.

What is the difference between watercolor quilts, pixel quilts, and postage stamp quilts?

Many books were published in the 90s so I would just do a search on eBay using "watercolor". I have learned over the years that you can use any basic pattern as a watercolor quilt. My avatar is a pattern from an inexpensive book called Colorsplash. It is just a simple Trip around the World. Here is the last queen size I made.

Watercolor quilts are so beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful sites to make them more doable for those of us who are color impaired.

I agree with katier825. Whims has some great patterns. I have one I bought several years ago and just dug it out the other day to do.
