Great observation Quiltmouse. I didn't even see that but it makes sense to me.
Great room for creating great quilts, Angelina.

My first thought was heat source, heat vent/window.

Then I looked at your set up. Check the lower pegboard with a straight-edge or level. I wonder if there is an installation issue. The top of the pegboard is just above those lovely tiles on the wall. I wonder if the pegboard has warped around the tiles, too.

It never amazes me how someone in this group always has the answer needed -- and how many people swarm in to help and try to locate the source of the problem. What a great group!!

So glad your dilemma was solved, AngelinaMaria. You've got a beautiful sewing space!

The uv rays from the sun, even on an overcast day, can melt plastic and fade fabric. Keep them
in a cardboard box and also stay away from clear plastic containers because of the sun exposure
that you have in your room.
I love your sewing room, and I'm sure you will spend many wonderful days in there being creative!!

Is that a fireplace under your pegboard?

Um, I have a feeling your rulers did not warp. Looks more to me like your cutting table has a dip in it. Try laying your rulers on something you KNOW is flat, like a kitchen counter top and tell me if you still have this "bowing" issue.

Oops, guess I should have read all the posts before replying! LOL It WAS the table. Believe it or not, I could actually make out a dip in the photo.

Just showed this to my husband and he said that you are going to need at least 5/8" thick plywood to insure it doesn't bow. Good luck! Love your sewing area!

I have hung my rulers on a pegboard for years, and never had a problem with warping. So sorry you're having a problem.

I know I have to be careful when cutting on a part of my large cutting mat, since it is curved from being rolled up for a long time before being placed on my cutting table - made from a dining room table.

I don't think the pegboard would cause the problem.

As WishIWas Quilting said, it might be the fireplace as well. I agree change the location of the pegboard if possible.
I agree with this. You have a lot of windows there & just maybe the sun is the reason for the warping. I think changing the location of the pegboards MIGHT be the solution. Doesn't hurt to try. Let us know what happens.
