AUGUST - Scrappy Block Swap – SCRAPPY TRIPS
#226
I got my package today!!!!! Thanks again, Jane for hosting! I'll look forward to joining the scrappy swap again in the future. :-) Also, thank you everyone for your participation. Wow, it was so fun to see what fabrics you have in your stash. I like how there are so many fabrics I haven't seen before. After looking through the blocks, I was so excited to lay them out. It was tricky to decide what to put where. I tried to match up colors and dark and light values, and could have kept second-guessing, but then just decided to go with it! :-) I sewed together the rows and added in my leftover practice blocks that I didn't send for the swap. Your blocks were sewn so nicely! With so many seams to match, it was lovely how well the little squares lined up and fit together. Great job, everyone! I plan to make one more row, so that the top will be square-- so 7 more blocks to make. I wish the sun was shining for the picture, but we have a cloudy day today.

OMG, my blocks came Tuesday, didn't open them till yesterday and I'm so exited. They are just beautiful. Haven't laid them out yet to see how I'll put them together, but I know it will look amazing.

I'm glad everyone is happy. This was a great swap! Thanks to all for participating. It's not often that I participate in the various swaps but I got in on this one and boy, oh boy was it fun. Thanks for the extra goodies too. Much appreciated.
Great pics everyone!
BTW - - - I'm always open to ideas/suggestions/input for future quilt blocks you'd like to do. Let me know!
Thanks again -

So my sister has been here visiting. She did most all the sewing on my swap blocks so I could get them mailed to Jane on time. I decided she should get half of them. With the extra blocks we made, each of us will get a 5x5 block throw. I've got hers sandwiched, ready to quilt. I'm trying to get it finished for her to take home to Idaho Saturday. Hers will be the closer one. Mine will be the scrappier blocks at the back and I love it!!!
