I did my first double wedding ring this year. I used Creative Grids wedding ring templates. I drew out the arc and copied it. Then I paper pieced the little pieces on. After I got it figured out, it went really well. I FMQ'ed the whole thing on my Pfaff 12223. Used Warm and white batting. I under estimated how much fabric for the arc. I would not cut separate pieces next time, but use strips. Once I figured out what I was doing it went well.

There are 2 resources I would refer you to, one in Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day, as she uses the fusible web method, like she does with the centers of her Dresden Plate block, which I have done and it works beautifully. The second resource would be to go to Kaye Wood's tutorial page where she has one of her quilting friends, but I can't remember her name, as the woman had 2 daughters getting married and they both wanted the DWR quilt, and her method seems pretty fast.

There is a pellon product that makes it easier to do, you either start with stratus or striped fabric, Applique the quater circles on a solid background, then connect the blocks, but I can't remember the name of the product. Can anyone help with the name? There is a YouTube video that shows how to do it.

    bessie- that's it creative grids!

Second one sounds fairly easy, quilting is done before blocks are put together, and strip peacing looks a lot easier than each little peace. This how I plan on making one.
