Thanks to all for the welcome and stories of your quilts. I can not wait to start and Will keep you posted on my progress. I hope this is the start of many more quilts. I always loved quilts so this is great!

Thanks for the welcome and your wonderful, brave family. We all should be so proud of our troops and all they and their families give for our Land, and her people

I hope someone has your quilt who just loves it and all the time you spent making it.. thanks for the welcome

Happy New Year from Tennessee. I think a crazy quilt would be so much fun to make. I'm a hand quilter and love all the different decorative stitches and of course the little spiderwebs incorporated for good luck in the Victorian crazy quilts.

Welcome from Michigan! I'm new to quilting too so I thought I would start with hand quilting/piecing. If it get's to be too much, I might have to take my sewing maching out of the box!

gold would be the perfect touch. We have a pioneer village in our town. On my run this afternoon we ran to it and in the weavers cottage they have a crazy quilt laying on one of the cots. It is in terrible need of repair. I almost cried. I haven't stopped thinking about it. I think I need to rescue it.

Sounds like the perfect 'rescue' to me! I'm sure the orginal maker of the quilt will smile from Heaven on your good deed.
Such treasures should be 'taken care of' and 'passed on' just Pass it Forward... life is grand
