Thank you for the wonderful comments. It is quite different from my usual quilts which tend towards Halloween.

QuiltE - it finished up at 20 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall. That means it can go pretty much anywhere.

quiltjoey - we don't generally give a card and gift but we always visit on or very close to the birthday, frequently bringing lunch. My Mom is not crafty at all. She has always loved seeing my work so a couple of years ago I gave her a vase that I etched. She was thrilled. I've been showing my parents the quilts and cross stitch that I've been doing and they are both amused but impressed with my craft addiction so I know she will be pleased to receive this mini quilt.

Thanks for the update ... a nice size ... big enough to be seen, small enough to go most anywhere!
And the best part, nice and cheery, taking a cue from her personal love for the subject flower.

.............. and yes, the delicateness of this is quite the contrast from your normal Halloween work!!

Wow that is beautiful works4me, don't wait for her birthday, it is too precious a gift to wait. I am sure your mother will love it and know that your love for her went into every stitch.

Oh my, that's one gorgeous wall hanging!!! A true labour of love!!
She knows and approved the fabrics, why wait? Give it to her so she can show it off on her birthday.

If you obsessed over every step of the process in making this quilt, it certainly was worth it!!
