We had a simple pasta with garlic and olive oil (and grated cheese of course) along with a salad. Some bread would've been nice, but we didn't have any.

Well, Billi, I didn't get to leave in time, had my 3 mo old grandson T & W, but the chicken sounds great. Think I'll make a chicken noodle casserole tonight from the left over roasted chicken the other day. I was thinking lima beans to go with it. I just love the lima beans from Cracker Barrel, only place I've ever had them in ham broth. My family never made them that way.

Cold and windy, lots of whistling in the air. Roast beef, onion gravy, mashed potatoes, spinach from the garden sautéed in olive oil, garlic topped with freshly cooked bacon bits and homemade pumpkin pie for dessert.

Dang! Hobo yours sound really good too. And you are a lot closer. Can you tell I'd rather eat someone else's cooking? We are having baked haddock, rice and haven't decided on veggies yet. Broccoli maybe? BTW - Cracker Barrel only has the lima beans on Sat. night. Wish they were on the menu all the time. We usually go on Sunday when they have cooked cabbage, yuk!

So many talented cooks and great sounding food!

Tonight was baked "American" chop suey - hamburger, pasta, red sauce and cheese. DH and DD like it - I could take it or leave it.

Getting cold up here in New England...time to make chowder, baked beans and hearty stews.
