I was feeling guilty after seeing someone else's BH Celtic Solstice this past week on the QG, so pulled mine out--I had stalled out went I screwed up the placement (orange/green) on the 54-40 blocks about 1/2 way and just put it aside. Got those corrected tonight and got about 1/2 the cutting for the second block . I'm hoping that I will be able to sew again (after knee replacement surgery) by early Dec. if it's all cut.
I've managed to get most of the Christmas sewing done--still need to long arm my daughter's tree skirt and binding done; and a table runner for son and DIL--but both shouldn't take too long. (I hope!) and have one customer lap quilt to get done this week--surgery is in one week.

Other thing I did was get patterns/fabric requirements ready for a quilt buddies road trip to Missouri Star Quilt Co tomorrow! Very excited!

Everyone has great projects. Loved all the quilting on the comfort quilts as well as the quilt itself. The harness looked well done.

Today was a finish (last 4 double 9 patch blocks for "Afternoon Delight"), started some sewing (3 dresses for my 3DGs), and worked on binding for a quilt (trimmed quilt after it was longarmed, prepared bias binding and stitched to front of quilt). Tomorrow hope to finish Dresses, will hand sew binding to back and maybe a label. Would like to get quilt finished for Guild on Tuesday.

quiltingshorttimer: I am having a scope done on my knee on Wednesday. I have gotten so much done due to my sister was here earlier and made a lot of food for me. I just nuke a plate, eat and return to sewing. I also have a stress fracture so I am on crutches and stuck in house. Good luck with your surgery. We should check in and compare PT. I know yours is much more involved than mine. gi

I sewed the binding on to one lap quilt today and did some FMQ on my waterfall quilt. Set up to do piecing on a star block tomorrow for another quilt. I like to keep several things in 'stages' so when I need a break from FMQ, I can move onto another project!

I worked on a jelly roll race quilt. I got all the strips sewn end to end, now for the fun part!

Finished the baby quilt and do not like the back. Going to have to do some extensive reverse sewing.

Thimblebug6000-Love your penguins. I have gotten and used some of Sidney's patterns in the past. This one is really cute.

You know how sometimes a simple project just isn't so simple....well that's been my lap quilt scenario. I had planned to have it all sandwiched and ready to quilt by now. Biggest problem has been the not so stable fabric I chose for one of the pieces--boy does it like to wobble, but think I have the problem under control. Funny thing is they are all Moda fabrics--the one in question is not as tight a weave from an older line of fabrics. I removed an inner border because the color was so wrong it screamed at me to take it off. Now I can sandwich--off I go.

I am being good and have kept on with my virtual weekend. Have been working diligently on my comfort quilt I spy blocks and have been working on my blocks for my king size bed quilt. Up to 11 blocks on that. 133 more to go. Yikes.
