Gwen Marston does some wonky little houses that use scraps and don't have to be "perfect. Lots of fun, use scraps, odds and ends.

I'm working on one that started in July called First Snow. It has 15 houses and lots of trees. I am finishing up the trees, can't wait to put it together and embellish it with snow flakes, icicles etc. I live in California and it is sun, sun, sun, and no rain or snow. This quilt will remind me it is winter. Google "First Snow quilt" on line. It was a free pattern, not sure about now since the quilt along is finished as of the end of October.

First Snow Quilt is cute. I love the wonky houses too.I saw that on Amazon. I know how to paper peice, but i never get into it enough to make a quilt. I figured out the house from 2 charm squares. I am going to make one a day, depends on the day, and and job travel...lol, that won't happen in dark hotel rooms....but until I do, I'm making one a day. Ihave basting spray, and tons of white. I would love to have that set on Etsy where you stamp the shapes. OH oh oh I want it so bad. It's from the lady who does the little house quilt I saw on Pinterest....I'm using my little houses instead of a therapist...if I get mad, I'll find the material, make a little house. If it's a good day, 98% of the time, it is, I'll make a cheery little house.

So next year, each little house..."Oh yeah, that's the one I made when I dropped the pie." (I sincerely hope that doesn't happen). or, "that's the house I made at the tiger refuge in Eureka Springs, see the little monkey there?"
