Good Morning all,
I have had a special request to do the edging on my niece's wedding handkerchief. I do a bit of crocheting but am having trouble finding just the right pattern. Any ideas from this creative group? Thank you so much!

Have you looked here? Scroll down to "edgings". There are many patterns. One may be what you need.

Hi Lisa,
Thanks! :)
I did find that site.. beautiful patterns. I guess I am looking for "how to start" lol. I would like to do a corner insert. I googled images - there are many beautiful ones out there but only to purchase not the pattern.

Lover's knot.......I did this on a headband for my daughter's wedding veil. Worked up nicely.

I have pattern books from my aunt (very old) with beautiful patterns. I'd be happy to photocopy some and send them to you if you want. I kow you're looking for something with corner inserts and there are several.

Tomorrow I'll have some time and I'll go through the books and copy what I think you might like. I'll email you when I send so you can be on the lookout. Don't worry about sending the SASE - we don't know how many patterns I'll be sending so don't know the postage. I used to make hankies from the books, but haven't in a while. My aunt will be so pleased to know they are in use again.

Gerri (redquilter),

I know it has been a long time. But I finally finished all of my nieces handkerchiefs I took a pic of 2 of them to send along to you. It was difficult because after my sister in law embroidered them they were not square. Here is a sample though. Thank you so much for all of your help.
