LOL, just sent the cinder toffee recipe to my daughter with a BIG HINT to make it for me for Christmas!

PenniF thanks for the conversion I was hoping someone would know.

Sewbizgirl don't be intimidated it is very easy but you just have to be careful because the toffee can really burn you.

For anyone who hasn't tasted cinder toffee if you have ever had a Cadbury Crunchie Bar it is the middle bit.

Pumpkin has lots of vitamin A and as the days shorten, it helps you adjust to darker winter, so you seek the comfort of it?

I like this idea of where ever you are to open at 12 noon your time. This way it still honors but is less confusing. What do others think?

Molasses Cookies

Combine dry ingredients:
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves

Cream together:
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 to 1 c. molasses

Combine dry and creamed ingredients. Put in refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Roll into 1" balls and roll in sugar.
Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-7 minutes.

For whatever it's worth, I like the idea of 12:00 noon opening for all no matter where you live.
