My note is going to be hand written and since I am not known for neat pretty girl writing, I am going to type it here and put the post number on the note.

Please feel free to use any colors in this print. Any style of block, as many colors as you like, but please keep them solid or tone on tone so not to compete with this print No white or WOW, black or holiday themes please. Have fun and Thanks.

Thanks! I found it at Connecting Threads during their Black Friday sale. It was $9-something for 3-1/2 yards. Woo hoo! I bought enough of it to make two quilts ... a blue/yellow one that I'll be making myself when I get "A Round Tuit", and the blue/purple one from this swap. Adding purple is probably a little unusual, but I'm weird anyway, so ...

Actually, our bedroom walls are painted with a light blue-ish purple, and the ceiling is light mint green. It started out as a joke when my husband and I were in Lowes, trying to decide what color to paint the room. I jokingly said, "How about purple and green?" He studied the color chip-card-thingies for a minute, held two of them them up, and we were surprised that they looked great together. So purple and green, it was! We didn't think about it at the time, but our birthstones are purple (amethyst/DH) and green (emerald/me). Kinda cool that it turned out that way.

Default Tracking info should be emailed to me...

Probably an oops on my part. I don't think I've made it clear that all tracking info should be emailed to me, not posted online.

Be wary of posting personal info online. And don't forget when you post your pix as well to strip them of all personal info as well before you do so. It can be used to locate where the pic was taken.

Thanks!

I plan to do some stash diving this weekend and decide on fabric. Everyone's fabric is so nice and look forward to working with it.

I may pick up on the idea that some are and send an assortment of fabric. Oh decisions, decisions.

Those fabrics are just terrible and there is no way that you should subject anyone to using them at all. I will take them off your hands so you don't have to worry about offending anyone.

DID THAT WORK? =)

I loved reading all the posts and seeing the pictures! Getting real now!

Moonrise: My LQS had a black Friday sale and I bought my fabric there! I was so excited. It was hard to pick, though...so many awesome fabrics to choose from. I really like your fabric!

Kassaundra: I am OBSESSED with your fabric - and I bet the photo just doesn't do it justice! I LOVE your drunken little blocks. Looks like you did a way better job of making them submit than I ever have been able to.

Moonwork42029: Wow, those peach fabrics are really great. You may have made a convert of me with them! I cannot wait to work with them! I would have never thought of sending out different fabrics (until now....) and I may just have to follow your lead on another swap!

Joanelizbay: I already have some ideas for your block/fabric. Such potential!

Your email made my day - I have all these ideas swirling around in my head!

I am getting a new dryer tomorrow so I will be laundering and drying....and ironing (ugh)...and mailing this weekend.

I will take pictures of the fabric this weekend, too -- I hope everyone else likes it as much as I do!

Thanks it was love at first sight for me. It has a story too. I have to be beaten to go into wally world absolutely hate that store, but when forced to go in I always go to the fabric section. (the few that still exist) anyway they had a big table of sale fabrics the really cheap stuff as low as $1 per yard and the "good" stuff regularly about 7-9 but marked down to about 5 per yard. This bolt didn't have a price, the regular fabric worker was on break or to lunch or whatever so the lady filling in said "grab the cheapest price sticker over there and I will scan it and charge you that price" so I grabbed a $1 per yard bolt as instructed and took every spec on the bolt.

Moonrise. I also bought some fabric from Connecting Thread and was totally surprised at the feel of their solid colors. It was so much heavier feeling than what I buy at Hobby Lobby or the LQS..I was very impressed by the fabric I got and at a VERY good price.

Ruthee....send me your ironing and Ill do it for you. I LOVE to iron and do windows...not so much the dusting and vacumning or mopping though! I get both my favorites from my Grannie who loved to do both AND she taught me about quilting!

Purple and green huh.....that's as bad as my granddaughter...she wanted bright pink and lime green! I had made her a quilt with both colors in it and truthfully it turned out really good with the walls and curtains....amazing what you can do with colors!
