I had several ideas in mind about Michigan, but when I discovered that my partner was also from Michigan, I decided to come up with a more local idea. I have it drawn out on graph paper, it looks great colored in with my colored pencils. I have pulled fabrics and have nearly made a decision on them, but I haven't had the courage to actually begin cutting. Soon. . .

Ninnie: This is the perfect time to challenge yourself to try a new technique. And you will only be comitting to a very small project instead of a full size quilt. So I say go for the applique!
