All I can say is wow! I can just see it appliquéd to a bright navy back ground.

Magnificent, love the colours, are you going to attach it to a larger piece of fabric? Where do I get this pattern pleae?

The pattern is an old one, * Unusual Lone Star* by Karen K. Stone. It was published in 1995!
I've had it on my bookshelf for years. I really didn't care for the one pictured with the pattern but had kept the pattern all this time. Just happened to come across it again when pulling out a book & really looked at it. I had all the purples laid out thinking about a new bargello. The more I looked at it the more I thought it might be more ( fun) than a purple bargello. Now, I'm glad I finally decided to make it.
I do not know where you might find the pattern, eBay maybe- since its 20 years old. I do think Electric Quilt has it too and there is a book available on Amazon that has 10 of her quilts, this one included. Mine is a pattern pack which included all of the PaperPiece papers.

Since there is no blue at all in this quilt I don't see it with a navy background... It is all purples
It will not be appliquéd onto a background, the pattern continues with more PaperPieces ( a sawtooth border) between an inner and outer border. All pieced sections- I still have a lot of work to go... Then my least favorite part.... Removing all the paper.
