I think I would have named the FW after the neighbor, couldn't think of any other name that would fit it appropriately.

What a wonderful gift !! How about just "Gift" for the name .. As you have an awesome neighbor (who is a gift in herself)and she gave it to you !

What a wonderful gift, but bet she is just as happy to know she found a good home for her FW baby. A win for both of you. I agree, a gift for her birthday, made of the FW, is a perfect thank you. Congratulations. A friend of my mom's gave me her Bernina for the same reason. Here is the quilt I made her as a thank you, a D4P:

Sounds like you have a wonderful neighbor. I bet she will be thrilled if you do something for her.

That machine will always be special to you because of its origin....I am certain you will make a very special present for your neighbor, and many more things in the future with this wonderful machine! Nice quilt!

I love the idea of making a quilt or other sewn item as a return gift for a sewing machine. Perfect way to show appreciation and that the machine went to the "right" place.
