I have to say I still love my accuquilt! I just bought the log cabin die so I have to recomend it if you want to make log cabins as there are a lot of variations of that block.

I love my accuquilt! For Christmas, my sweet Hubby surprised me with the Go Big electric...Now I Really Love It!
The dies I use the most are my strip dies, 5 in square, got the log cabin(haven't used it but big plans), got a few applique dies that I use on some fun mug rugs and seasonal stuff. Congrats on your gift!

I started keeping a list on my phone after I got a few dies so that I would know which ones I had.
The double wedding ring and other curved piecing dies are very good and the various applique designs are fun.
I like the June taylor shape cut ruler better for strips.

Since I don't piece any more than I have to I was not interested in the geometric dies. I purchased the shaped dies to use for machine applique. Since I mostly do Linus blankets or quilts the shapes come in handy. The only geometric dies I have are the ones that came with my machine.

You will love the AccuQuilt cutter and I agree with the other member that thought she would only need a few select dies - you will end up buying "all" the dies!
Hi Guys,

There are several good books out there for Accuquiling. I think those that you have will give you a great start. As you work with the dies you will begin having visions of shapes and quilts! Lol. I bought heart shapes and circles in my starter pack.

I buy the ones that are difficult for me to cut out with a ruler. Like the tumbler, 8" circle and hearts. I can do strips and squares. Have fun
