I hope no one uses that area. It is way to pretty. Just needs to be a picture in a magazine.

What a wonderful scrappy. So I decided it isn't a string quilt, but am curious whether or not there is a pattern for it or did you just sew strips and cut triangles. I think it looks beautiful in your sitting area and really gives your tile and furniture a pop of color. What a great idea!

I have just cut 9" muslin squares to start a string quilt but I like the looks of yours if you wouldn't mind sharing the pattern or cutting measurements.

It looks lovely. I'd never think to put a quilt on the floor but you are right, it's cheap and washable. I have some practical questions though. How did you make sure it does not slip on the floor? Do you have to be careful not to catch your toes in the edges or did you somehow attach them to the floor too?

Oh! That is an awesome idea. I also wonder how you keep it from slipping. I am going to do that in my living room for the area rug that is under the coffee table and in front of the couch and love seat. It's a pretty small area and the only ones that would be walking on it in my house would be myself and my 5 pound Chi. It is an awesome idea, and I love the fact that it is washable.

Oh! I have to post another message because I forgot to subscribe to this thread. I want to know how you keep it from slipping.
