    I like your idea and also the use of the black office clips to hold your batting to it. I also like the idea of cutting it down if it is possible, the small mats still cost quite a bit to buy, and as long as it works like by your sewing machine or somewhere, it sounds winning to me. :-) Thanks for posting the idea.

    I'm glad I saw this post. I would have never thought to do this with an old mat. When you don't have a lot of room for a big one, this is perfect. Thanks for the idea.
