I have half of my triangles done. Rethinking some of my "light mediums". In a class an instructor had a saying that has stuck with me, "Color gets all the credit but value does all the work". So I have been trying to keep that in mind especially with mysteries.

But going to hope off the train until tomorrow, I'm going to Road to California today! Up and getting my shopping list together. Mostly looking but hope with a limited shopping list I will control the impulse buying.

Another idea. (You can tell I'm an art teacher, right?)
When you look through your stash for the next clues, consider making yourself some cloth napkins. You only
need a square 16-18". A basket of random fabric napkins looks great on a buffet. And don't forget those popular mug rugs!
On to clue #3!!

Well, I decided to redo a bunch of my triangles so they all ended up with light on the right side. I really got into them as I ended up with 56. But that will allow me to pick and choose when we start to put them together with other patches.

Well, Moonrise and dotcom with their crumbs pieced blocks and "made fabric" had inspired me to try, for first time, scrappy crazy blocks. It was fun, they are 8.5" size and tend to be a bit wonky log cabinnish....

reeskyl your triangles are great, love the yellow!
I love your squares. I too have been inspired and with help have found websites to get me into this more. You should see me going through my scrap bag of stuff now. And my throw away pile from the table tops I am working on, went through that too, a lot less to throw away now.

Thank you Anngel. I search a lot in Pinterest. It is a very visual way to find ideas about everything!

And Dotcom, visiting Madrid is a "Must"

JuneBillie and tron80, thank you! Yeah I kinda liked the yellow after a bit. Mine may be too light on some, but that is what makes all the fun!

ooo, Madrid, sounds warm! lol, have fun Dotcom.

Have fun sunliten and Bel, the triangles are pretty!

Love the samples being shown. mine are more of a mess ,not so conforming like the ones being shown.
Mine are I guess more sacrppy looking. I remember hearing something about 2 1/2" strips
don't own that size, so hopefully I can rig something up here. also hope we use some mediums too.
Lisa love your saying ...."Color gets all the credit but value does all the work". how true!

just think, this time tomorrow, we get our clue, we'll be done with it...maybe
