If it kept them out of the landfill/dump then I say its a cute use. These might have been machines that had all of the parts harvested for repairing other machines.

Those make me laugh. But they are a little creepy, though. I suspect they might roll around the house after midnight or something. Totally untrustworthy, for certain. lol

For sure the front one is NOT a Singer, and I think the back one may not be either.

I don't really care that someone does this. I see adds selling them, but as yet I've not encountered anyone that bought one.

    What I noticed is I don't think they're Singers.

One persons abomination is another persons cute idea.

I think the tractors are cute. Wish I'd thought of it!

Wish the toy makers would use a plastic wonder, the front tractor looks like a Davis. Rather see my machines scrapped than made into toys, more dignity in it.

Tractor making I suppose goes hand in hand with re purposing treadle irons.

That's the unfortunate reality of sewing machines right now. Most people only see them for their decorative potential, not as actual useful machines. The plastic wonders aren't even good for that much. The cheap ones were built to be used a couple years at most then tossed. It's a fairly small segment of the population that actually sews anything these days and the portion that prefers vintage machines is even smaller.
