I bought some but scared to try them on a quilt. Lady Diana said to be careful .....some do not disappear. How would we know if we got the wrong kind? Has anyone ever had marks come back to life years later? I guess I should try a sample first. Sounds like a lot of you quilters have used them with great success. Thanks for the info. and input.

I use the ball point pen ones. Love them. Only ones I'll ever use again

Yes, Staples carries the Frixion pens you would use for marking fabric.

I've used the ball point ones but test dark fabric because sometimes it leaves a ghost mark. I am really pleased with them because they are so easy to use.

I just had a black one (ball point) leave a ghost track on Kona solids bought from an LQS. I haven't had problems on other cottons.

I had read somewhere that the black Frixion pens are problematic on fabrics, but the other colors are fine. I have used blue without any issues.

I used the frixion pen to mark my stencil and it came out with ironing ..it was a gift for my DIL and I mailed it to her in Cleveland where the temp was -2 and I worried that the lines would come back in transit.....they didn't
