I really liked that rick-rack border, UNTIL I saw the pyramid border. You are right it suits the quilt better without overwhelming it. Fabulous! I also adore your applique lettering too. Your daughters troop leader will love it.

Liked the first one, but love the second. Good choice.

I liked the colors of the arick rack border, but thought it was overwhelming the quult.

    The second layout is perfect!

I like the border as you show it here. It just seems to fit.

Yes! The second border seems to frame the quilt and doesn't call more attention to it than to the blocks. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you like the applique lettering! I'm happy with how it turned out. It also enabled me to use the fabric I originally planned to use for the border.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I feel even better about my final choice after hearing your thoughts on it.

It seems as though I am going to go against the crowd. I don't like the pink and white border. My eyes go to the border, not the body of the quilt. I would probably use a mainly pink bored with a small print, then the black border.

I think your final choice is perfect! It looks like your quilt inspector is right on the job too.

The 2nd one has a softer appearance and puts more focus on the center. With the first one, eye sees the border first and center, second.
