I have collected ties for many years, and plan to make a quilt out of them next year (after retirement). Your pattern is just beautiful!

Hi All,

Here is a pic of the necktie quilt top [without any borders yet] that I started around Christmas time.
Some of the vintage necktie pieces were pretty stretchy and tended to ravel, so I sewed lining material to each piece, and turned and ironed them before appliqueing the pieces to the blocks. This took some extra time, but I hope it will help with strength and use over time.

Thank you so much for posting your tie quilt. My dsl rough me 3 bags of his ties. I have looked every where for this pattern and found several, but not this layout. Please tell me the size of your blocks.

My blocks were cut 12 1/2" square, before seaming. The quilt is for a Queen size bed.
