I love your quilt and your "can do" attitude! I can not wait to see what you do next!

You definitely were up for the challenge, we don't try to discourage people just because but for some it scares them off or it's more difficult than they thought and don't want to ever do it again. Glad you knew your own capabilities and went for it I think you did an amazing job!

Yes, it was also my first time sewing. I bought a Singer Talent 3321 off craigslist for $75 and that was that.

Thanks I did not feel discouraged by people here, I just wanted to encourage people with more experience than me who wanted to try at OBW who were too intimidated to try it, because if I can do it, anyone can.

The quilting was pretty tough and it did not come out perfectly. A lot of the lines are not as straight as I would have liked, but I am not trying to be super picky our tough on myself, it was my first try after all. Also I am not incredibly in love with my binding.

I think I am going to make another OBW for my bed. Using either this fabric: https://www.fabric.com/buy/209983/ti...FYM9aQodVLwASQ

or this fabric

https://www.fabric.com/buy/228313/mi...FQiEaQodx3oAWQ

2 separate directions I could head.

Also I plan on making a bargello quilt fairly soon.
