You are doing a wonderful job. Keep going, we all make mistakes and learn from them.

Well I have been working on the chain and have stopped for now .
i don,t really like the colors any now. Just got ahead of my self.
So now i,m going to start a quilt for my granddaughter she turns 1 in April .
And have another quilt i started with 3 shades of blue and want to finish it also and stay to my first design for it.
Thanks for all the positive feed back .
    I,m really enjoying quilting.
I,t would be nice if I could get my cotton as cheap as you guys get it in the States
Have a good day every one

    Tom

Sometimes, the quilts need to percolate a while before being worked on again. At least, that's what I keep telling myself about my older daughter's quilt.

But your saying making your ironing board into a pressing board what is the difference ? I,m just using a ironing board .
And yes i,m thinking of making some thing to hold all my thread also. My wife has given up fighting to take my spare sewing room back . And is not saying any thing about all the thread laying on the floor so I guess I win haha.
Got to win one every now and then .
    Thanks for the positive comments
Every one have a good day.
Pressing board is a hard surface. Ironing board has padding that makes it soft, squishy. I read that a hard pressing surface is better when piecing and won't distort fabric. I made my own with cotton batting and canvas after watching video by Sharon Schaumburg (I hope I have her name right). It was very easy. I do like it a lot better for both starching and pressing seams. My board is mounted in a wall of my laundry room, so doubtful you can convert a traditional ironing board, but you can make a board to sit on top or on a table.

Nice 1st quilt. Will be looking forward to seeing the chain blocks put together. I don't think I've ever seen that block. I like it. Nice job.
