when i first started out, i found it very helpful to pin at each intersection to make sure they matched up. you sure picked a challenge for your first quilt. good luck with it

You have it together. finish it as is. Don't frustrate yourself by trying to correct this. Keep this as your first quilt and when you do the second, (Please be kind to yourself and pick an easier pattern) compare the two and realize what a learning curve there was. You will be happy years down the road to compare again. You may even correct it when you have had more experience and know how to fix it on your own. That's my 2 cents.

I agree that PaperPrincess gave you some great advice. I would finish the quilt "as is" and enjoy it for yourself. You can chalk it up to a learning experience! The pattern does look hard! Lots of matching!

Thank you so much everyone for your input. I really appreciate it. I thought about what PaperPrincess said about the distortion, so I might just pick apart the worst blocks and try to refit them. I'm definitely going to pick an easier pattern my second time around! This has definitely been a learning experience. Thanks everyone.

I agree also.Just finish it ,you learned something and start a new one.

Bless your heart! That is a beautiful but difficult pattern. Square it up, and finish it as is. Please don't give up!

If you are up to some helpful criticism, post a pic here so we can maybe see what has happened. It is only guessing without seeing what you have done. I don't think I would rip anything out....my mind just cringes at the thought. If you finish it as is, you will be surprised that most of the problems will disappear when you wash it, the rest won't be near as noticeable from 5-6 feet away. If you have to get up close and personal to see a mistake, then you are too critical of your own work. For your next quilt, choose something much simpler and work on the techniques that gave you problems in the first quilt.

I can't help but that pattern would look great with the black fan toile fabric I was having a hard time with. Thank you for posting it.

Quilting can hide a multitude of sins. : )

Once it's quilted you might feel better about it.

Also, You need to square up your blocks before you sew together. Take a deep breath and you can do this.
