This is the link I am referring to on Trapunto posted first by Maniaquilter2. Awesome instruction and makes it look like fun!

Your wonky houses are so cute. I keep seeing a face on the chimney of the pink house. Was that intended? If so, very clever. If not, still cute. Did you make up your own pattern? Delightful wall hanging.

Yes, I've sandwiched my wall hangings and finished stiching yo get extra pouf effect. Works well. Fun project you have going on!

I would make my sandwich without the backing, and add extra batting to the areas you want to "poof", this will give you a mock trapunto effect and is a lot of fun. You just trim the extra batting around your stitching

Thank you for your kind words. A friend told me about seeing the "face" on the Church chimney. I did not intend to make the face. I am slowing adding more and more to the wonky house scene with just the stabilizer behind it. Next I will add the batting behind certain items like it was suggested from a few clever quilter's post earlier. Thank you for looking.

To Seaside Gal.
Oops, I forgot to answer your second ? on the pattern.
I did make up my own pattern after taking a class our guild sponsored from quilt artist Amy Stewert Winsor. I am naming my wall hanging, New Day. I chose a Quilt shop, My house and the church as the 3 houses you see on my wall-hanging.
