The RR block is called "Lavender Orchids" and it is from Connecting Threads from their "Free Patterns". It makes up into a 9" square finished. I didn't want the block to be "opposite" by the instructions, so I just used same fabrics lines and swapped places of the fabrics. I just used some of the scraps that my mom had given me. I think they are very striking and can't wait to see what the other 3 ladies are going to do.

The name of the book I got the star for the pincushion is "Little Book of Patchwork Stars by Chris Franses. It is call the blazing star in there, I didn't use the background parts and put a 1" middle between the 2 stars. Hope this helps the people who wanted the information on the star.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you who wanted the info, our vehicle was broke down and now we have 2, and they both run lol.
