GoBrah. I too have that sharpener and have used it many times with success. I think the trick is to put a drop of oil on the stone before you sharpen the blade. I have a cutter / blade that I use for fleece only. it seems this dulls a blade quickly. so I get out my blue sharpener. I have used this on material blades also, but not with a large sucess rate. if a blade gets too dull, those little blue sharpeners don't work.

Bought a mat/rotary cutter combo on sale from Havel's and both have made me very happy about cutting fabric. My old mats and cutters are now resting somewhere. The blade in the cutter is wonderfully smooth to use. I will consider ordering replacement blades from them in the future. Have a $7.00 coupon.

I appreciate the links and will try. I'm just saying I'm not going to mess around with trying to resharpen. That Tru Cut from Nancy's was just a waste of my money. If the blades aren't sharp when I get them, I just take them back. I use coupons and discount's. I will check it out but right now I have about 45 blades and I think I'm set for a while. Thank you again for the link.

My blades are mostly 60 but have a few 45.

I recently bought the True Cut electric sharpener and am very happy with it. After each pass, you should clean the stones with oil and rub them with your finger (then wipe off finger) to get the grey metal out of the stones. Then one drop of oil on each stone to sharpen again. If you don't keep the stones clean and they get clogged with metal they won't sharpen well. The alternative is to buy new stones every time they are clogged.

Have heard the Harbor Freight blades are a waste of money for quilting.

I have been to Harbor Freight, asked the workers there and they have no idea what I'm talking about!! Can someone give me an item or UPC number that will help them identify what I'm looking for? 45mm rotary blades....it should not be Rocket Science!

Please ladies, don't just throw those used blades in the trash, always put them in a sealed container, such as a used peanut butter jar, or a can.. Just so no one, or an animal will get hurt on them.. Thank you.
